How It Works

From the first conversation to the invoice, one director stays with your project. Whether you need casting only, or the full package from planning through to edited delivery, the process is the same.
You don’t need a finished brief to get started, and consultations and quotations are free.

This page covers both casting and the full package. Steps that apply only to the full package are marked FULL PACKAGE.

How it works

Each step separates what we ask of you from what we take care of.

FULL PACKAGEThese eight steps map onto the four production phases shown on the full package page: ① brief and first consultation = steps 01–02 / ② team proposal and production planning = steps 03–06 / ③ shoot = step 07 / ④ post-production and delivery = step 08.
  1. 01

    Enquiry and briefing

    YOU

Send us your request by form, email or phone. Leave blank anything you haven’t decided yet.

    LILIANA

We review it and fill the gaps with a short briefing call. Consultation and quotation are free.

Office hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00–19:00 (JST)

  2. 02

    Proposal and quotation

    YOU

Give us a rough budget, even if it isn’t fixed.

    LILIANA

We come back with a casting plan and a quotation, plus options for adjusting cast size, usage scope or shoot days to fit the budget.

Not included in the performance fee: travel, location transport and accommodation for regional shoots; surcharges for early morning and late night; travel commitments starting the day before; and time spent at auditions, camera tests and fittings.

FULL PACKAGEWe present a full production plan covering the concept and storyboard, the crew (photographer, hair and make-up, stylist), the location, and the editing specification.
  3. 03

    Candidate proposal

    YOU

Review the profiles internally. If none of them feel right, tell us plainly.

    LILIANA

Our casting director selects candidates from a roster of 2,000+ people from over 100 countries and sends you their profiles. We will re-direct and re-propose as many times as needed. Athletes and artists may take longer, as their club, federation or label has to confirm the terms.

Profiles and photos are for your internal review. Please ask us before using them in a deck or on social media.
Please don’t contact performers directly — everything goes through us.

  4. 04

    Selection and casting call (optional)

    YOU

You can confirm from profiles alone, or ask for a casting call. Just send us your preferred dates.

    LILIANA

We can run it at your venue, at a venue of your choosing, or online. For voice work we can also supply additional voice samples.

  5. 05

    Confirmation and contract

    YOU

Confirm your choice. The booking is made at this point.

    LILIANA

We hold the performer, verify their residence status and right to work, and sign the contract and NDA — on your paperwork or ours.

Cancellation charges apply once a performer is confirmed.
We take responsibility for verifying work eligibility, including for non-Japanese performers. You don’t need to check separately.
Where a performer is invited from overseas, we act as the inviting organisation ourselves, so you do not need to find one. Travel, accommodation and visa costs are quoted per project.
The actual terms of business follow the individual contract, which we adjust project by project.

FULL PACKAGEWe ask for 50% of the production fee on confirmation, with the balance invoiced before final delivery.
  6. 06

    Preparation (as needed)

    YOU

Share the call sheet, call time and location.

    LILIANA

We arrange fittings, hair and make-up tests and rehearsals, and handle guardian consent and attendance for minors.

Working hours for minors: under 15 until 20:00 and no more than 8 hours a day; under 18 until 22:00. Further detail is in our performance guidelines.
Where a shoot involves changes of clothing, please provide a proper changing space such as a location van.
If you are holding a weather standby day, let’s agree the decision deadline in advance.

FULL PACKAGEWe secure the crew, equipment, studio or location, and any filming permits required.
  7. 07

    Shoot day

    YOU

Raise anything you need on the day with our manager on site.

    LILIANA

Your manager or casting director attends the shoot and handles adjustments in the moment. For late-night or early-morning calls, we arrange taxi transport.

A standard booking is one day / 8 hours including breaks. Overtime is charged separately.
We do not accept blackface or other racial caricature, and we ask that the word “gaijin” is not used in scripts or on set.
Please allow roughly an hour of rest for every four hours, and plan for heat, sun and cold protection.
Please tell us in advance about animals on set, or water, height and wire work.
We ask clients to hold insurance against accidents and damage.

FULL PACKAGEOur director runs the shoot, and you can review frames on set as you go.
  8. 08

After the shoot: invoicing and usage

    YOU

Settle the invoice by bank transfer.

    LILIANA

We issue a qualified invoice electronically once the shoot is complete (paper on request), and contact you before your usage period ends about extensions or added media.

If a performer wants to post shoot content on social media, we obtain your permission first.

FULL PACKAGEAfter editing, colour and titling we send you a review file. Once revisions are settled we deliver the final data. Usage rights take effect when payment is complete.

On a tight deadline?

Lead time depends on the size and type of the project. Casting calls and large casts need more time, but selection from profiles alone can move quickly. Talk to us first.
