Born and raised in Minnesota. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Japanese Language and Design, I have worked as a designer and illustrator in Tokyo since 2014 and published a book of food illustrations, cultural essays, and photographs, "Nihon no Iimono Oishimono" ("Good Things in Japan, Delicious Things") in 2022. As a bilingual reporter, I have appeared on numerous domestic news programs and NHK World programs that broadcast overseas. I have appeared hundreds of times on Japanese variety shows as a representative of the United States.
